Walks around Hurst Green


Now that we’re finally seeing some sun, why not take advantage of the beautiful weather and go for a walk around Hurst Green? With plenty of luscious green fields and scenic river views, it’s a great place for a wonderful days walking.

The fabulous Tolkein Trail starts and finishes at our carpark. This 5.5m circular walk is the perfect way to work up an appetite. To find out more click here.

Surprise View: This 7.5 mile circular route provides one of the most magical views in Lancashire for keen walkers who don’t mind a bit of a climb. It’s a rich reward at the half-way point of what is quite a challenging walk – and the good news is it’s pretty much downhill all the way back to the pub! Click to download the route.

Fancy heading exploring further afield?
Pendle Hill offers great views across Clitheroe and the surrounding villages, and you can discover the history of the area on the Pendle Witches Trail which is a fascinating walking tour,  just try not to get too spooked!
